Generations after a crash landing on Philo, three people probe the mysteries of their planet. A youth seeks his missing mother, a young man seeks adventure, and a woman seeks a revolution that will save her people. But planetary secrets are guarded by the ever-present and ominous Machtpolis. Young Ari, Anikas son, is threatened by sinister spy devices as he attempts to learn of his mother. He counters with the invention of a communicater to avoid being overheard. This throws him and his school mates into further peril. Distraught over his mothers disappearance, Ari escapes from the Childrens Center to begin a search for her.

Thus begins a hazardous journey.Born and raised in San Francisco, Anne Kohl made her home in Northern California until moving to Colorado in 1999. She received Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of California, and was elected to Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. She has been employed as a Realtor (licensed), a Psychiatric Social Worker (licensed), and a Programmer/Analyst (one occupation at a time).

She raised four children (simultaneously). She is also an artist, and has had her work accepted in numerous juried shows. Anne has published short stories and a prior novel - PHILO: Pictures From Home.
